It doesn't sound like they are being asked to "leave Chicago." They are being advised to stay somewhere other than the condo, but they aren't being told to leave the City. |

Stand your ground. You shouldn't need to leave your home. Is the message here that the Chicago police won't be doing their job?? Is the National Guard busy those days? If criminals are planning to riot and destroy your neighborhood, are you going to run away?? There are Americans (I guess not in Chicago) who would fight back and kill the criminals. I don't know the neighborhoods in Chicago. It's my understanding that Chicago has lots of violent street gangs. Will the gangs defend their neighborhoods, or will they join in with the rioting, looting, and killing cops? Rahm Emanuel has a month to protect the citizens of Chicago. How many deaths does he consider a success, and how many deaths does he consider a failure? How many millons of dollars lost can Chicago afford? The riot is not a secret!!! The NATO events are nowhere near bad neighborhoods, but the trash knows police will be thin in other parts of the city. Burglary and robbery totals should be interesting that weekend. The last two mayors have let the police force dwindle to dangerously low levels. They install cameras all over that a broken and rarely help, while their families get police protection. I work downtown, and will work from home or from my office in the burbs those days. Should be quite a show. |
