Huling has run more sub-8:15 steeples in his career than Jager has run races of any kind in the last 12 months. When Jager runs under 8:10, people can talk. |

Lincoln retired after '07 when he didn't make top-3 in US champs. Fam should have retired with him. More athletes need to recognize the steeple as a worthwhile distance event so we don't keep talking about "that one steepler..." Problem is, kids don't even know what it is until college, and most college coaches don't mention the word unless an athlete pusher for it... just ain't right. |

THE favorite, it would seem. People forget that he still has to race the other steeplers. FYI: this is Jager's FIRST EVER steeple. Even so, statistically speaking, he SHOULD be able to run that fast. Doing it on his first attempt simply means he is training hard. |

I suspect your race count is off. And, what was Huling's debut? Many are just not cut out for the steeple; maybe Jager is. Rather than get an opinion from someone who is simply negative, I would like to see what malmo has to say. |
