not only was it funny, it actual had some information in it as to what his injury specifically was, what was done about it and what his current state of fittness is. when i saw it was a BTS video i thought it was just going to be more shennanigans but you can actually pull something from it

I love how the beagle is humping the shorter dude around 2:10 - getting in on the action.

To me when I see him clowning around it just gives me a feeling he's not focused. Even in the serious part of his interview he just doesn't seem hungry, driven. I think alot of our US runners are the same. I remember Alberto Salazar in his prime, he just had the eye of the tiger.I wonder what happened.

Salazar looks like Dracula on the cover of his latest book. I don't think he has lightened up much.

Maybe it would be interesting to compare the success rates of runners who like to kid around and have a good time and runners who are always dead serious. I don't think you would find a meaningful difference but maybe that's just my experience.

From what I've gathered Steve Scott had a healthy sense of humor. I think he ran ok for a while.

Wheating was actually pretty funny. The interviewer was an annoying douche.

Alberto's career was cut short, and he ended up battling depression for years. I think I'll take the laid back guy. who still performs at a high level, over the guy who was one bad day away from putting a bullet in his head. Everyone needs a healthy balance between work and home life. Why should a runner be any different?
heres the deal yo

no point in being so uptight about stuff all the time. the best runners i know tend to be the most relaxed people also. the runners that are good but not quite the best, tend to be wicked uptight about everything. maybe there is something to that.

even the best runners have free time too. these guys use it in a very amusing way. i love the video, i wish more pro athletes would do stuff like this.
