Hello -- Not trolling. What happens if I can identify a person who jumped me and tried to rob me? Is this more trouble than it's worth if I don't have any lasting injuries? Will I get whacked? Anyone had any experience with this? |

File a police report. Depending on what you report the police may have probable cause to interview and make an arrest. Remember that the police keep interview record on a database for other officers to view. If he has other interviews and arrests then the police can harass him and he'll move out of the area. Or they may have enough evidence to prosecute him for other crimes not involving your case. The main this is, make a police report. In some cities you can file online then an officer may contact you. |

No one robs only one person. I doubt anything could possibly come of it. Unless you live is some sick mob/gang city... |

I doubt many robbers will take out a hit on you. It is doubtful they are "made". Just some low life. Report it, grow a pair. If they catch him with the goods then you may not even have to testify in court. The vast majority of these cases are plea bargained out. Be a good citizen. |

Exactly. The thug who tries to steal your wallet isn't some kind of mob boss. He doesn't have hit men on his payroll. |

Hmmm ... Being a good citizen is one consideration. Not getting my ass kicked (again) is another. |
