I think Jerry and his group get the same treatment by Nike. Both being in Portland. It just seems if you want a group go to Jerry, and Alberto only takes very very few. And a few of Alberto's runners have left recently. |

Alberto. I really respect the man and what he has done the past few years. I love his intensity and his ability to be calm about things. Alberto really knows what he is doing and seems great to work with. Also it would be great to train with someone like Mo. Mo works extremely hard and has a great attitude about all of it. He is the kind of guy who can string weeks of 150 miles together and not complain about a thing. |

Frankly, I think Jerry is the better coach and has had excellent success - he has not had a talent like Mo or Galen to work with, but has done very well with Solinsky and Tegenkamp. The young pups like Jaeger and Bumby will be in the top tier in the next few years. I admit that Alberto has done a nice job of taking Mo to the next level, but let's be honest; Mo was already damn good!!! Galen is a super talent with some issues on the mental side and it will be interesting to see him in the next year or two. |
