It is the sun reflecting off the surface of the moon. Are you a product of the Arkansas school system or something?

I believe Duracell has the NASA Lunar Illumination contract this year taking over from Ever-ready who had the contract since the 1940's.

Knights in White Satin: The moon is a cold hearted orb that rules the night. Removes the colors from our sight. Red is gray and yellow white. But we decide which is right, and which is an Illusion.

A: The man in the moon turns the light on. That light steal our colors. Everything becomes gray scale: Black and white.

It could very well be true, but the more important question is would you eat it?

The Moon represents women in myth and lore. The Moon "reflects" light from the Sun

Ha. Nice try. The moon gives off light only AT NIGHT. How could the moon's light source be the sun if the moon is lit up when the sun is down?

The Moon is actually lit by another planet--my favorite--the Sun! It's like the King of planets.

And to the troll above, who said the Moon is only lit at night: nice try. First, sometimes we can see the Moon during the daytime. Second, as the Sun revolves around the Earth it's shining the whole time, and it's usually not directly behind the Earth--so it can light up the nighttime Moon, even though we can't see the Sun at the time.

I'll admit that I don't quite understand why the Moon isn't lit up all the time...

Heck yeah I would! Then I'd finish it down with a nice, tall Budweiser.
