He's probably training through this, and did both races as a workout, to get some racing experience in. The real Webb will be on full display come the trials. He's just toying around right now.

Even if he's training through this, he should not be running this badly...

3:54 is TWENTY-FOUR SECONDS off his PR...

A PR is called a PR for a reason. ITs not something you run or necessarily come close to everyday...

nothing can explain 1:54 3:54

i figured he'd run 3:45 at the absolute SLOWEST.

did he just give up the last 300? what was his 1200 split?
dsrunner has the day off

Overtraining is overrated.
Nice workout day for Webb.

Webb did a tough cut down track workout this morning. Idea was to "race" on tired legs today. Mission accomplished.

The bad news is that it makes the accusations of his past much more believable now.

The WR is 3:43. How is it 24 secs off his PR? Can you please focking tell me that? He's within 8 secs of his own PR. Not bad for April.

Haha, you're kidding right? He ran a 1500 in 3:54, not a mile.

When is he going to run 3:39? He doesn't have the OT standard yet and 3:54 doesn't inspire much hope.
does this make sense?

Does this really make sense to you? You're telling me that the WR for the 1500 is the same as the WR for the mile. And this makes sense in your mind?

Doesn't matter. An athlete with his pedigree should at least be able to go 3:43, 1:49 after an AM workout.
