Looking for suggestions for a double jogging stroller. I am looking at the Schwinn Grand Tourismo Double, and the BOB Revoluation Dualle Double. Obviously BOB is more money, is it worth the extra $$$? Does anyone have the schwinn. Both have a fixed wheel option for running. Let me know, thanks! |

I don't have a double stroller, but a single seat schwinn. Works fine for me. I don't get spending a lot of money on these things. As long as it goes straight you're good. It's not like your racing the thing, in which case you'd need racing tires and a minimal stroller that doesn't catch wind so much wind. But who races with them? Otherwise, performance wise there's not much too it. If you are really tall it might be good to have an adjustable handlebar so your arms are at a comfortable height. I only use one hand on it except when turning. I take the schwinn on trails(not rugged) and my kid loves it and works great. I bought mine used for $35 off craigslist. 99% of people who get one hardly use it, so there is usually a lot on there to choose from. |

My wife and I ended up going with a chariot, which is a modular system that has kits for running (fixed wheel), strolling, hiking, biking, and xc skiing. We have the running, strolling and biking kits. Running kit works well for me at 8-10mph. We couldn't decide which BOB to get (fixed wheel vs rotating vs wheel dia) so we ended up with one that does it all. If you already have a good biking stroller, or aren't interested in one, the value on the chariot system really diminishes. |

Thanks!! SOoo helpful! Will look into the Chariot, I am leaning towards the SChwinn, so glad to hear it gets the job done! Can't see spending BOB $$$ either! |

I second the thought of the previous poster---look into a used one. Your kids will outgrow it long before it is worn out. We personally bought a BOB and had good luck with it, although I didn't spend a lot of time checking out others. Whatever you buy you will probably be able to sell it again in a few years so keep that in mind. |

Chariot is the only one worth the $$. The front wheel has a tracking adjustment (most don't) so you can fine tune it perfectly, then it's light rolls well and folds fairly compact. Then you can change it to a bike trailer and ski trailer as well. I've had mine for 2 years and can't complain. I've also had a Schwinn and a Kelty for singles. |

I love my chariot and we use it as a second car with the bike attachment - had it for three years and use it almost every day. The only downside is that the seat does not recline - so for younger kids, it is hard to get them to nap while you run/ride. |

We bought a BOB because we found a great deal on it. The swivel wheel locks in place to become fixed and works fine as a running stroller. The issue I have, not unique to BOBs, is that the handlebar is low and so I feel like I'm leaning over when I run. Our twins love the BOB and it's in great shape after three years of abuse. |

I had a single BOB and loved it. I bought a double Chariot after my second son was born and it's not nearly as good. Just bought a BOB Ironman duallie and am looking forward to running outside again. Would highly recommend the Bob. |

We have a BOB double stroller. I think it was c.$650. Amazingly sweet wide and incredible suspension. My wife has jogged with our boys and they really love it, even in our town which has pretty crappy sidewalks and torn up roads in some places. I haven't jogged with it but I've wheeled them to the park in it lots of times and it's really great. The only drawback is that in addition to the high price it doesn't fold up well at all. It's poorly balanced when folded and very awkward to carry or store. It's also very bulky even when folded. |

Make sure you put cattle prod on the front end. Would not want any other pedestrians or runners to have use of the sidewalk. |

We have the BOB SUV double stroller. I had the single BOB Revolution and loved it, but it didn't seem to handle as well off road as my buddies SUV. 2nd time around we got the SUV. I take it on trails all the time. For me the price was fine b/c I run with it every single day. Many time, my runs are when I can see my kids and talk with them, so I like having a decent jogger. I cannot speak to the other brands, but BOBs hold up like a son-of-a-bitch. I put those damn things through the ringer and they keep on working like magic. I don't even think I have refilled the tires with air since I bought it 3 years ago. My kids are older too (4 & 6), and they still like sitting in it, especially on bumpy trails. I am about 6' and the handlebar is fine for me. Not sure how tall you are... As long as you don't buy a total budget one, I am sure you'll be fine. I would go SUV unless you think you will be using it for a regular around-town stroller as well. If that is the case, go with the revolution. BOTH ARE AWFUL WITH REGARD TO STORAGE, but that is not really an issue with us. |
