It seems unfair if she typed RenaLto just to throw people off.

Her progression looks very nice and steady so I think she is one that will just keep improving for a while.
About that...

You're not necessarily supposed to care, but it looks like you chose to care enough to check out the thread and post a comment.

She posted about Brooks in an earlier tweet and she is not good enough to get sponsorship outside of Hansons.

Jerry Schumacher (OTC, Portland)

She was only planning on visiting 3 places.

1. OTC-Schumacher
2. Hansons
3. Mammoth-Mahon

I assume that both Hansons and OTC would mean that she had to represent Brooks or Nike and Mammoth could be with anyone. I will guess Mammoth because Ray Flynn has a good relationship with Reebok and Asics. Although I think that she would be best at Hansons.

First off, did Neely start a thread about herself? If so, lame. Second, nobody cares, she is going to Hansons, big deal.

Do you think that Brooks-Hanson will provide the best contract for a 15:25 female? I doubt that they can afford her.
Come on now.

Hopefully Hansons, Brooks, or whoever is paying her a high six figure income. And I mean a LOT more than $300K. I doubt they are. Very unlikely.

Very unlikely. Anyone mentioning that amount of money for MOST runners is clueless or foolish.

Hansons's? Not ready for the marathon, Mammoth Lakes with Bizzari, Kastor and others.

it would be nice, but at this point my guess is she gets shoes, clothes, travel, and maybe a small amount of money, the bulk of her money will likely come from prize winnings.

does t. dibaba, m. defar or v. cheruiyiot even get 300 k a year for their shoe contract?

i wonder how much her dad's good/bad feelings about his contracts weigh into this? iirc, he ran for reebok and then new balance. did they take care of him or does he harbor ill will? i'd bet there's an influence or built-in bias there.

i'll vote not nike or OTC, not hanson's.
it's mammoth or co springs. nb or asics. they seem the best fits for both her current running and potential.

If this is you, then I like that you are advertising for yourself. We want the athletes to have exposure and the best way to do that is to interact directly with your audience/fans.

I agree. It's a little ironic about how we talk about how running/track needs better publicity, but then when someone tries to promote themselves, others get upset. I'm sure whoever ends up sponsoring Neely with be very appreciative of her efforts to engage with the running community.
