Recently, I've started incorporating some temple runs into my training. I run about 5 km in 3 minutes and I can feel myself getting into better shape. However, all my friends tell me I'm running too fast on these runs and that I'm only going to get burnt out! Are they right on this?

Have you mentioned any of this to your rabbi?

I used to think of my body as a temple.

But then I thought, "When was the last time I went to temple?"

I feel ya, it's just so hard to get in a solid, evenly paced threshold run when hordes of beasts are at your heels and you consistently have to dodge trees and jump gaps and whatnot. Sometimes I just feel like turning around and saying "Hey guys, I know you're mad that I stole your idol again and keep gathering all these conveniently-placed coins but I really need an easy day here. Maybe jog 6 miles or so, do some strides after, then I'll be a little loosened up for tomorrow. This training is just wearing me down, ya know?"

I've tried talking to him, but every time he just sends a bunch of monkeys after me and I have to haul ass outta there! I end up doing my temple runs way too fast every time!

You should back off and do some church, chapel or synagogue stuff. An occasional cathedral or mosque is good for VO2 max though. If you are a heal striker there is no redemption in the long run though...

Also, has anyone heard of these supplements called Boost and Mega Coin??? They're apparently supposed to help my running a lot, but they're very expensive so I wanted to get a second opinion.

I had to stop doing temple runs because I kept getting a midrash.

I slowed my temple runs down a little and it helped me Tanakh almost a minute off my PR.
