Demps, Brown, and Bracy put up decent times at 2012 Texas Relays 3/31/2012 7:29PM Reply | Return to Index | Report Post
At a windy 2012 Texas Relays:

Demps 10.01 (+2.9) = 10.15
Brown 10.09 (+3.1) = 10.24
Bracy 10.06 (+2.4) = 10.18

In order of impressiveness, I think it goes Bracy, Brown, Demps.

Bracy for obvious reasons, he's in HS.

Brown because he's only a soph, who had a semi-bad hamstring injury last year.

These times were the best run in the Texas relays, with pretty deep fields.

They make you realize how good Patton's wind-legal 10.04 (+1.8) is for this time of year.

Anybody know what the temperature was like?

mid/high 80's with short and intermittent periods of slight overcast, but mostly sunny. fairly breezy south wind. great meet.

Bracy's 100 is about even with where he was indoors when he set that record (without the fs).

Impressive but he can go faster.

This Bracy guy is insane. It's MARCH! He would be credible in any international meet.

I hope he sticks with track.

Are there any vids up yet? I wonder if he caught a flyer on his start again. If he did, good for him!

A bunch of us thought he should have been DQed in the HS record 55m earlier this year, but he just did it again!

The guy has some kind of reaction time. I wonder what's going to happen when he runs in a meet with IAAF reaction monitors.

Wow, the Texas Relays.

Countless greats came up from the Texas Relays.

Not just SEC notables.

Thanks for the vid to whomever put it up (Mrs. Bracy?).

IDK d, it looked like he got out even this time, but that he just had a much better first 3 or 4 steps than everybody else.

Of course, it's a bit tough to tell from the vid.

On the flipside, it does look like he could have gone even faster if he had a real top end...it looked like he stalled in 4th gear. If he had run against real competition, you would have seen him reeled in and eclipsed in the last 30m, and downright blown away by some.

But what a great sprint.

Bracy's 10.06

Why is it so hard for some people to hold the camera still? C'mon, that video doesn't do him justice

It really doesn't...don't people have image stabilized cameras?

But we should be amazed that a vid is up the next day, that is fantastic, even though it's shaky.
