For shits and giggles, I have a 5K tomorrow. What does letsrun think I can run based on the following workouts: 5x 1000m with 200m rest in 3:15 avg 4 miles in 5:45 avg 8x 800m with 400m rest in 2:34 avg 2x 3 miles in 5:40 avg |

i'm guessing the 5x1000m workout was a bad day? if so, i'd guess you're a 16:30 runner. otherwise 17 flat. you're probably better at longer events, right? |

I wouldn't call it a bad day, but yes, I am more of a marathoner than a 5Ker. Also, I ran a 5-mile race a few weeks ago in 27:16. |

The fastest 1000 repeat workout I have ever done was 6x 1000m in 3:13 avg (most in 3:14-3:16) shortly before running my PR of 16:24 two years ago. Comparitively, my marathon PR is 2:42. |

In case anyone cares to see how their answers stacked up, I ran 16:24 on the roads that weekend and 16:00 on the track last weekend. Had some good guesses here! Ya'll should be proud. |
