Wonder if anyone survived. Only 34 seconds long but watch what happens at the end! http://rmirror.net/r/videos/comments/q5hu9/car_accident_nsfl/ |

why were they filming the video in the first place. hard to believe they just happened to catch it on tape. unfortunately i can't imagine someone surviving that crash in the black car. it was pulverized. |

I believe this was a cops dashboard cam |

Was that a cop car filming? Otherwise why would anyone be filming the highway like that? Regardless, wow, that black SUV was obliterated. RIP, probably. |

Why is it hard to believe they just happened to catch it on tape? It's right before your eyes. |

Yes, this was off a trooper's patrol car dash cam. |

Semi drive will have been fine if his truck stayed on the road. Anyone else almost certainly dead. |

That was terrible. All for some ice on the road. It's hard to predict when something will happen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHEwaHNnw0w |

Yes, this was off a trooper's patrol car dash cam.[/quote] Don't think it was a trooper's camera. Apparently a lot of folks in russia have cams on their dash in case of an accident so they can use it for insurance purposes. |

I hope to god that was in Russia. Nothing against those fine people. Just that it makes it much more unlikely it was an American made car. No car should shatter like that even with a semi going into it head on. And the way it went out of control from just a small patch of ice and slush was just wrong to. Although I suspect some Vodka in the driver was involved. |

Dude in the box truck made a nice recovery. |

actually, an suv is mostly sheet metal and plastic. if you hit it with a 20-30 ton truck & trailer going 60 mph, it will be pulverized. i'm not a physicist, but think of the energy transmitted into that vehicle in a instant. like a bomb. |

You may be right. I'm not a physicist either. But I've never heard of or seen an American car shatter into a bunch of pieces like that. An American car I think would be totally pulverized but it would be in one piece totally caved in. That was like seeing a semi going through a car made of wood 2x4s. |
