Is it only for teenage girls?
I watched Battle Royale a few weeks ago and thought is was cheesy, but not too bad.

Jennifer Lawrence was fantastic in "Winter's Bone". It might be worth seeing just for her.

I'm amazed how many adults are into this series. The first time I bought the book for my teenage daughter, a guy in his thirties or so was picking up the book too. I thought hmmm....maybe this book is too mature for my daughter but she said everyone in her class was reading it and even the teachers and parents.

I'm not interested in reading the books but we are schedule to see the movie over the weekend. Luckily, we picked a theater that takes reservations...:)

Just watch it. After all, it's not Twilight. Hopefully kids get the morals of the stories and from Harry Potter and Hunger Games and NOT Twilight.

Do kids really get their morals from movies? I never met a kid who did

Oh, you're right. Movies are in no way impactful to a kid's mind.

The first book was decent, read it in about 2 days, other two were slower and dragged on

How am I right? I asked a question. I didn't make a conclusion.
Have you ever had your teenage morality or mind affected by a movie like Twilight? Or any other movie?

It is completely different then battle royale. Not a diss on battle royale. I love that movie, but for those of us who actually have read the book you would notice how different they are. The only constant is the theme of dystopian society.

Hasn't it been proven the kids are impacted by what they see in movies or TV? Behaviors such as smoking or drinking alchol by actors have a direct impact on how kids behave? I was thinking this was 'scientific' but maybe not. Hell, I think adults' behavior is impacted by what they see.

And before anyone jumps to conclusions, this in no way means that every single kid that sees a movie with an actor or actress smoking will start smoking.

1. Battle Royale was shit anyway and not all that original.
2. Stop being a hipster about bad movies.
