If your team needs a quarterback, do you take a chance on him? Maybe you can milk 3 years out of a HOFer, one of the best to have ever played? An incentive-laden contract?

He wants to continue to play. The most likely outcome is what happened to LaDanian Tomlinson. Big decrease in ability. It is amazing Manning lasted at the top level as long as he did. But, too many severe injuries in the last few years.

There are potentially great QB's and about 5 proven great ones and he's one of them. As a Browns fan I would love to see them deal and come up with the money to get him there. They desperately two more great receivers though.

Isn't Manning's neck still really screwed up? Is he one pancake sack from being forced into retirement?

Manning has a series neck injury. Several of his bones in his neck were fused. That is not a good thing if one wants to play QB in the NFL.

I haven't followed his injury that closely to know anything other than the media has focused on him being cleared by doctors to play, and the team not wanting to pay him a 28 million dollar bonus when they have the number one draft pick.

I thought this was a thread about that quarterback being released from jail. This shit is way less interesting.

Fwiw a number of doctors have said that it is possible to make a full recovery from his condition.

It Joe Montana was able to take the measly Kanas City Chiefs to the playoffs in his late 30's, then I think Manning can still do something special.

Now he's saying it's 50/50 whether he will return. Big change of mind apparently.
