I'll start with two.

(1) The Living Tree - the worst thing about that movie, was that I watched the whole thing just waiting for something to happen. I watched the whole fragmented insert about the evolution of the Earth. The whole experience left me annoyed.

(2) The Beaver - This was interesting but odd. Parts of the dramatic points were actually kind of funny. The beaver was quite a gifted actor. I kind of enjoyed that weird flick.

The old Hunchback of Notre Dame with Lon Chaney. Silent movies are just weird in general.

Good choice. Saw that one as a kid when I was home from school sick. Never forgot it.

Angelo My Love

Robert Duvall's film about New York gypsies featuring an all-Romani (gypsy) cast.

Odd and mesmerizing.

Actually that was the movie I was talking about but I called it the Living tree.

It was awful and long too.

I saw Act of Valor and am encouraging NYPD to get volunteers for an NYPD SEAL team to protect NY harbor. BPD and LAPD are starting their own SEAL teams to protect their majors ports as well.

A Town Called Panic (Panique au village) -- can't really describe it -- you just have to watch it -- it's instant streaming on Netflix...

Oh and even weirder one -- Marquis -- it is about the Marquis de Sade but performed by life-sized puppets and one of the characters is his penis ( and yes it talks to him)

Maybe not super odd, but Rocky Horror Picture show, I only saw it once but it was one of those movies where I couldn't hold interest, too weird.

Mosquito Coast, starring Harrison Ford.

I have never been so baffled by a movie, before or since.

Kinda of like life. Watch it again in 20 years and perhaps you will appreciate it.

koyaanisqatsi. Still have yet to see another movie with quite the same effect on me. Even Reggio and Glass were never able to imitate themselves at their best again.

The Tree of Life was TERRIBLE. After watching the movie, the only word I could use to describe it was "Clusterf-ck". I didn't mind the entire 1950's segment...but the nebulas, eclipses, dinosaurs, and the city footage which reminded me of something you'd find on the Getty Stock Image site were just painfully valueless. Their connection to what was going on in heart of the film was such a stretch, so unnecessary.

Before someone jumps on me, I've sat through hundreds of "art films", passion projects by "skilled" directors, and many of the cult classics. Don't tell me I didn't get it.

My two cents...I've said enough.

As for odd movies - check out a film called "Demon Seed" from the late 70's, Cronenberg's "Videodrome", and maybe..."The Flower that Drank the Moon"

The movie Rubber, a French satirical Film satiring American horror films. Actually I just think it satires horror films but oh well. It's about a killer tire.

The Evil Bong. Anyone that smokes from it has his soul sucked inside and the bong talks to the people as they get high. The inside of the bong is a strip club except the strippers try to kill you with their flesh-eating tits. All is well though when a nerd named Alastair saves the day.
