Bicentennial WR Attempt (Return of Fast and Fats) 3/4/2012 12:36PM Reply | Return to Index | Report Post
It's spring break. What's the only option to do it? Drink 100 beers and run 100 miles as fast as possible... again.

For those of you who know, we made our first Bicentennial attempt three weeks ago and the result was Fast Guy: 97.5 hours. Fat Guy: Big Ol' DNF. He's still really really fat and therefore unfortunately will not be actively participating in this attempt. But he will be providing the bulk of the updates on twitter/here/youtube.

With some experience under Fast Guy's belt, it's time to do it as fast as possible. Last time he used Bud Light (4.2% alcohol). That was a heated point of controversy for the always understanding Letsrun crowd, so this time it will be 12 oz cans Budweiser (5.0%).

Fast Guy is trained, tapered and ready to rock starting tomorrow (Monday March 5 at noon). We will be posting all sorts of content throughout the day in order to document it thoroughly and keep it fully entertaining.

Fast Guy had 34 beers in the 16 hours leading up to that run. Trust me, he was wasted. when we watched the video the next day, he didnt remember a lot of the events.

There will be a press conference tonight filmed and posted to YouTube. Any questions you want Fast Guy to answer about his plan can be asked here, and we'll put all that stuff up. We're documenting the shit out of this one fellas

Any chance at turning the last 4 beers into a beer mile? Or starting with one?

Fast guy - How long did it take you to recover from the first round? Which did you feel more afterwards, the miles or the beers? How long did it take before you ran/drank again normally?

Fast Guy - consider this senario:

We know that time = money. We also know that beers cost money, which could be rewritten as beers = money.
From this we can postulate that beers = time.

DRINK BEERS FAST ENOUGH AND GO TO THE FUTURE!!

I know you're running these miles fast relatively speaking, but I wonder if the challenge has a minimum pace per mile standard? I mean, if a guy is on vacation what would prohibit him from strapping a cooler on and going for a couple hour walks between the actual runs just to add mileage and beers? Maybe that wouldn't even be helpful, just throwing it out for clarification.

What terrain will you be running on and how will you track the miles? Will you be having any sexual encounters with either gender during this week?
