He'll give it to him if they both make the Oly 4x4 final: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/olympics/article-2109787/London-Olympics-2012-Youre-cheat-And-Ill-tell-face-gold-medal-favourite-Greene-promises-Merritt.html |

If they are both on the 4x4, Merritt will be listening to the American anthem with a gold medal around his neck. Not some noise from a bitter Brit. |

Well, if Greene picks up a medal to match his one from Daegu, I doubt he'll care much about that.

It would be a hollow victory and the Brit would have reason to be bitter Don't forget.... they are always_inoccent! |

It would be a hollow victory and the Brit would have reason to be bitter Don't forget.... they are always_inoccent![/quote] No they always are liars. But DG should focus on his own issues. If he decided to taught / comment to LM pre race, I'd have him and the team dq'd. There are many forms of cheating, that's one. In this case LM has served his time. Regardless of his excuse - which was pretty timid - he served his time. Like British athletes DC, Ohuruogu - who should never have had the chance to medal as her excuse was equally lame, and the time trialer in the cycling team. There's plenty of abuse to hand out. |

Is it illegal to taunt an opponent during a race? I can see how it's unsavoury but it's not cheating. |

It is rare for an athlete to stand up against cheats you need to decide which side you are on.I hate it when athletes act like nothing happened and makes me wonder what they are on I agree on Ohuruogu. Used to think it wss just a case of missing tests, easy enough, but I like a bet and what's the chances that the 3 times she changed he training plan that the tester came. She's running a lot slower now as well! |

Dai Greene reminds me of that South Park episode about guys with little peckers. |

I love double standards, Dai Greene has nothing to say about Ohuruogu. |

Merritt made a silly mistake, but even if you don't believe him, he still served his punishment. You do the time, you get a clean slate. I hope Merritt performs well in London, I'd like to see him and Wariner go 1-2 in the 400. Dai is being overly dramatic and a bit childish. |

This is the second of TWO US 4X100 teams sabotaged by the UK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSI1eR3jTvs Let's just say I'd have plenty to say to Dai Greene if I ever got the chance. |

Greene's not gonna say anything to him. He's just grandstanding for the trashy UK press. |

No dolt. She's his team mate. And a national treasure. Explained cos she's always buried at the back of fields since she started turning up for her drug tests. |

Regarding Ohorougou. Most train at lee valley now - a specialised centre for the high performance athletes but before then avariety of tracks were used. in the summer all schools have sports days and book the tracks as and when and often you show up and there are hundred of kds there so you have to go elsewhere not knowing if that track is free as most are unmanned (eg ladywell where people used to train in south london)so you cannot call anyone. The drug testers turn up for adn hour adn then leave and make no attempt to find you or call for you to meet up Hence living in central london is difficuly and unlike living in birmingham or a town. She won her world and olympic titles after that ban whih should have been three months and DC was caught because he got mixed up with the US system which let us remind ourselves have had the most caught sprinters! UK has had a few caught recently - a few shot putters of no note and a couple of sprinters but mostly the UK team are 'harrassed' when it come to testing and i ony wish other countries were as thorough. the daily mail is also one of the more upmarket tabloids which does not do sensatonal and selacious stories like to red top tabloids like the sun and god forbid the star! Dai Green has a right to feel aggrieved that he has to compete against drug cheats and many feel, including Daley Thompson (the UK double olympic decthalon champ) that drug cheats should be banned for life - maybe then we would rid ourselves of the cheats who come back and flourish while giving the sport a bad name and convince clean athletes that they have to cheat to succeed. If you read chambres book - like most cheats - it was amazing how they readily accepted cheating without really understanding the complex issues surrouding them. |

So looking at his comments: He is OK with Chambers, who we know systematically used drugs, because he fessed up. His issue with Merritt is that he feels he is lying about his cheating. I guess I can see that. It's good to have characters like Dai Greene in the sport. Adds a little spice. I see this 400 hurdles World Champion had the 7th fastest time in the world last year. He better be more concerned with reaching the Olympic podium at all in the hurdles before he worries about smack talk in the relay. |
