Does anyone know where he's at? Is he injured this season again? Is his coach not running him Indoors to prepare him for trying to get to the Olympics?

He's not at the ACC Championships and I haven't seen him all season...

You don't really think he is being coached by the new UVA coach, do you? That is laughable. I think the ridiculous workout he tried to make Robby run last week pretty much ended any hope Watson had of getting Andrews on board his sinking ship.

Let's just say the workout made it very obvious that Watson has no idea how to coach elite talent. Fortunately he won't be getting any of that at UVA now that the old coach left.

Hey I didn't know who he was being coached by. I thought probably Jason Vigilante since he did so well, but I haven't seen anything about him going pro, so I also assume that he is still doing stuff within the NCAA and therefore might still run some college races. I would like to hear this workout or just whatever he is doing, as a fan.
Ok, you're really cool

None of the track and field team was give workouts after Vig left and were left on his/her own over the holidays into January. Compounding the problem is the new coaching staff did not take time to meet with the UVA athletes to discuss their fitness levels or past injuries. Fetzer ran all the kids the first week of practice at 100% plus to see what he had...Great job by Fetzer, he's in over his head...he injured many of his top athletes that first week of practice before indoor even started.

Didn't UVA just score more points at ACC Indoor than last year in both the men's and women's? Perhaps there are some growing pains in the program and athletes have different training plans with the new coaches.

UVA men just went 1,2,3 in the 5k after not coming anywhere close to qualifying for NCAA's in XC.

Let's be real, the only two returners from last year's top 12 were Keveren and Proctor, neither of whom showed up ready to race yesterday. Yeah they played it smart slowing down the fast heat and still going 1-2, but it wasn't indicative of much in a race missing mulherin, hill, colley, or any of the top fsu guys.

Hmmm, someone else on the team is chiming in too! Sp!kes is no longer alone. Truth be told, Vig left the team with great athletes and in a position to have some great years here. It is a shame that these great athletes won't have a great coach.

I've got no dog in this fight. I'm just looking at the data. I was critical of Watson for blowing up his roster of older athletes when he was at UNC. It's no surprise that he couldn't be guaranteed a slot by the new Athletic Director at UNC. After all, UNC won the NCAA Title in Men's Soccer, lost in the NCAA 3rd round (Women's Soccer), lost in the NCAA Title game (Field Hockey), lost in the NCAA 2nd round (Volleyball), and lost in the Independence Bowl (Football). The new A.D. was probably like "All these other teams made the postseason. This guy has two teams that didn't make NCAA's. Why should he be the head coach?"

That being said, UVA men will make the NCAA Championship in XC next year. The roster has a ton of talent and has veteran runners. It's not surprising that guys that really weren't performing under Vig are now performing under Watson.

It is disconcerting that Andrews didn't run this indoor season, especially after a nice XC season. The anchor leg of that DMR on Friday night would have been a lot more interesting with a fit Andrews on the end for UVA.
where?

Really? The great recruits that Vig landed are getting older and better. That is it. They were freshman and sophs under Vig. We ALL wish Vig was still here.
