I didn't see this posted anywhere, so forgive me if is was but NU sophomore Eric Jenkins ran 3:59.18 at the Valentine meet. http://www.flotrack.org/speaker/10817-Julian-Matthews/video Men's Mile Results: 1. Rich Peters, BU 3:57.83 2. Brian Gagnon, NJ-NY TC 3:57.91 3. Rob Novak, NJ-NY TC 3:58.14 4. Eric Jenkins, Northeastern 3:59.18 5. Julian Matthews, Providence 3:59.34 6. Dominic Channon, Unattached 4:02.21 7. Carlos Jamieson, CPTC NB 4:02.49 8. Dan Lowry, Brown 4:03.72 Lots of great performances, but as some might not know, Eric didn't run track until his senior year of high school and his mileage was really pretty low for XC so he's a guy that might really have way more potential than we've seen so far. I wonder what his mileage and training looks like now. (Also great to see Rich Peters win on his home turf, but I'm from the Portsmouth, NH area so I'm biased towards Jenkins) |

And on the 6th day, God tapped the shoulder of Sean O'Brien of the Lakes and his unwavering courage to break ground of an unimaginable feat, then he beset his almighty power onto that of a young carpenter's child named Russell the Brown. The spirit took rest on the 7th day, while he shifted his holy attention on producing a 2:14 marathoner, Guor Marial of the Capital, and a 8:35 steepler, Cory Thorne of the South Beach. Alas on the 8th day, God, in God's country of the Newest Hampshire, exposed the formation of the granite trinity: O'Brien, Brown and Jenkins. The word of the Lord. Amen. |

Thanks to poster who updated us on Guor and Cory T (B standard). I had not followed their progress. Peter Najem had a spectacular sub 4 at the Millennium Mile, but obviously that doesn't apply to this category. He could be number 4. Congrats to him for staying at it post-collegiately Congrats also to Jenkins. It really is amazing to watch his progress. |
