Alan Webb DNF in 800m @ VT Challenge 2/19/2012 3:57PM Reply | Return to Index | Report Post
Any word on why he DNF? Did he trip again? Run out of gas? 'Training session'?

Karjuan Williams won in 1:50.66, second place was 1:52.38. Should've been the perfect race for Webb to go out and snatch.

I was there and it was kind of disappointing. He looked relaxed for the first 400, but he pulled off to the inside of the track. Then Vig was absolutely pissed pointing toward Webby's "groin" area. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but Webby disappeared quickly to the bathroom. He returned later looking even more relaxed.

The other threads consisted of dozens of posts where people just made up ridiculous stories. So, yeah, if we want an actual answer we do need another thread.

How will starting another thread prevent this from happening again?

I didn't say it would. But it will possibly result in someone posting the actual story.

There was nothing ridiculous about that thread. One of the more humorous threads on here in a while.

Are people on this thread completely unable to read? I did not say that it was a ridiculous thread. I said that people posted ridiculous stories on the thread. And that is true.

I was there, after talking to my buddy Eric who happens to know Webb very well he said he pulled up because he felt to relaxed and was saving it for nationals. Look for Webb to make Beijing this year!

Instead of more jokes can the Brojos respond as to what actually DID happen before deleting this thread?

I was there actually, I saw Webb at 400 start reach for his stomach (not groin) and wasn't as smooth as everyone on else is saying, he then ran off the track and straight for the door to everyone's surprise. He was then seen running out the door, to a wendys across the street. There he ordered a baconator and ran it back to his car in the parking lot and ate it inside. When he was done he ran back to wendys and repeated this process 6 times, running a 1:50/800m pace the entire time.

These were mildly funny yesterday. Anyone who is still laughing at the ad nauseum repetition of the same joke must be retarded.

Ok here's the truth, since you immature twats keeping posting nonsense:

Alan was on the second lane for most the race, and right between 400-450, he tripped while trying to go on the inside lane. He immediately got up and walked it off. No yelling or anything. Seemed to be fine, just a bit disappointed. He was looking VERY smooth. I'm willing to bet he would have gone sub 1:50.

Why didn't he go for the 1000m the next day?
