That sounds crazy but we just did the preview and I can't think of a time where this many sub 3:30 guys/sub 3:50 guys have been in 1 indoor race in the US. Here is the sentence: "Correct us if we're wrong but this has to be overall the top indoor mile in the US (in terms of number of sub 3:30 and/or 3:50 guys) since LetsRun.com was founded in 2000." There are 4 sub 3:50 guys and 3 sub 3:30 guys. Most of the indoor miles in the US don't have a lot of international competitors. Millrose had Lagat for 9 years so you have one guy right off the bat. Kiprop was in the field one year and I'm sure a lot of other years there was another sub 3:50 guy. Sub 3:30 there aren't that many guys. I figured someone on here could prove the statement wrong. The preview is here: http://www.letsrun.com/2012/usatf-classic-0210.php I just realized the US Open this year had 3 guys who have run under 3:30 in their careers although I don't think Lagat is a sub 3:50 miler anymore. But that isn't 4 sub 3:50 guys. |

That pretty much guarantees a slow tactical race. |

I was wondering how fast it might be. Lagat and Kiplagat didn't break 4 in the Garden. |

Guessing 1:52. Plenty fast to give a good crack at a sub-3:50! |

You predict an indoor sub 3:50? That would be spectacular... |

Which really shouldn't matter to a track fan. A race is a race and we should be able to appreciate a a great race even if it's tactical. |

I thought Jack Bolas was going to rabbit the Mile and Miller was going to rabbit the 2-Mile? Has this changed? |
| work this out |

Isn't Jack Bolas Craig Miller's step brother? I thought that guy only ran the steeple. |

well lagat ran 3:33.11 for 1500 last year, according to the iaaf scoring tables a 3:33.13 for 1500 is a 3:50.02 mile, so lagat was that fast a few months ago. |

Brenda Martinez was the only one to go with the rabbit. She had a 12-15 meter lead she maintained for most of the race. At the bell she still had 2 seconds on the field led by Siham Hilali. Hilali and Btissam Lakhouad closed well. Hilali passed Martinex with about 60 to go to win in 4:09. First 3 all 4:09. 1 Siham Hilali MAR 4:09.36 2 Btissam Lakhouad MAR 4:09.72 3 Brenda Martinez USA 4:09.96 4 Tizita Bogale ETH 4:10.89 5 Treniere Moser USA 4:12.71 6 Sara Vaughn USA 4:13.12 [4:13.113] 7 Anna Pierce USA 4:13.12 [4:13.118] 8 Stephanie Brown Arkansas 4:15.38 9 Heather Kampf USA 4:16.76 10 Ashley Higginson USA 4:20.16 DNF Mardrea Hyman USA |

No, no . . . I think you have him confused with Craig's twin who runs the 800. Maybe there is a cousin that runs the steeple? |

4th fastest time in the world for Allyson IN THE PRELIMS. If she can stay close to VCB at 60, the London 100m field is in big trouble. |
