Absolutely moronic. He has a chance to make the Olympic team. He needs to stay with Vig and make that team. Taking a chance with a new coach is too risky this year, there is too much on the line. He has won NCAA titles, there is nothing else. UVA is not winning a team title. He is a DAMN P.E. Major. He will make 55k a year for the rest of his life as a P.E. Teacher. At the very least, he should take a semester off from the team or from school. UVAs AD is too much of a pu$$y to take his scholarship away. He could return next fall. Remember: there are WAAAY more accomplished track athletes than Andrews that missed the Olympic team, see Joe Falcon. Andrews needs to stick with Vig for at least one more season. You never know what will happen in 2016, he could get injured or sick. |

He is there for the education first - it's not Oregon so the education might actually count for something. Secondly, Vig abandoned HIM, not the other way around. Maybe he is just talented enough that anyone could coach him - it is about the athlete afterall, not the coach. Any moron can coach talented athletes. |

It will be interesting to see how life under Coach Watson will be for the guys at UVA and whether he can coach an 800/1500 guy and have him peak at the right time. Every coach as his own system but the greats can adjust to suit the needs of the athlete. |

If you think vig is the only one that can coach andrews then you are crazy or stupid. I can see andrews struggling a bit because vig will constantly be in his head telling him that he is doing is wrong. Vig equals snake. Should be an interesting soap opera. Andrews - best advice is to cut ties with the snake and actually give watson a shot. |
