You must be right, although I don't know why they would think that.
It looked that way though.

As for Goucher, I totally agree. I am a little surprised and impressed by her toughness.

I do expect better from all 3, or Hastings if she ends up filling a spot, in London

How hard is it to watch the feed and note the places of runners as they come in? A whole room full of press and nobody thought to do this?

Great race on both sides.

Mens
The top three will run in London and Ritz will make the 5,000 in June.

Women
Flanagan, Davila and Goucher will run in London, Hasting will no doubt make the 10,000 team, maybe even the 5,000, while Kastor could very well make the 10,000 team as well with a few more months of solid training. If Flanagan and Goucher drop the 10,000, Kastor has a pretty good chance against Rhines, Huddle, etc.

Keep your head up Ritz.

Srsly... it hurts to see such a tremendous athlete and person be so crushed.

This just confirms what I've always thought. Ritz is a talented runner, but he's not a marathoner. I don't know if Salazar's been putting this in his head or he just has delusions of grandeur, but I'm glad he's finally starting to realize he's never going to be one of the greats, like he could be in the 5k or 10k.

its not like the race was held in a locked down prison, isn't there anyone who was out there on the course at the finish line that could give us some more results??

The Men's feed cut out as soon as Ritz finished. Same for Wmns after Amy H finished.

I just wonder how much of "our" money that the USATF spent on that awesome timing system that apprently only made it to 8 miles...

NBC just wants you to watch their taped coverage to see the full results. We probably won't get full results until the broadcast is over.

I don't know why people say Salazar can't coach the marathon. This is a PR for Ritz despite going out very fast. It's not what you'd think he could run based off his track times, but he just isn't resilient enough to do the long blocks of high mileage training he'd need to run 2:06.

Agreed. It's Ritz, not Salazar. Ritz needs to wise up and make the decision to go back to the middle distances.

That's the business model for sports tv now. Hold events hostage for more money. That's why I got rid of my tv a few months ago.

That canned coverage nbc is going to bless us with won't have any results after top 5 anyway.
