Alan, don't listen to the wannabees who would love to carry your jockstrap around the locker room. It is a good thing for you to race, even as a workout, and don't be afraid to race more often, even if the wannabees will criticize you. You gotta do what you gotta do. |

And he's gotta do it faster... |

Wow is right. I could see myself coming back from a layoff and running an 800 roughly 10 seconds slower than my fastest just to get the legs moving. Remember, this was indoors in freaking January. If this were the Drake Relays, I could understand all the "stick a fork in him" from the wannabees. |

1:55 is what Webb is planning to go through 1500m come June/July... good start for him. Better than being injured and not racing/training. |

He better be able to come through the 800 faster than that or he is not going to london |

I want to see video of this race. See if he was just doing it as some sort of a tune up thing and not trying too hard or if he was really gutting it out. |

I was in the race where Mr. Webb ran today. I was standing in the paddock warming up when i see him and I go "Oh damn I think that's alan webb!" I wasn't positive but when I saw the tat on his shoulder I knew it was him for sure. As for his effort, I have no idea whether he'd done a workout prior or anything, but he was straining to kick past the college kid in the last lap but just couldn't find the right gear. He didn't really look smooth to answer some of your questions. |

I was at the meet as well. He warmed up for about an hour and a half. No workout before. He was struggling though, he had noticeable strain on his face. He then proceeded to talk with Vig for about 2 or 3 hours with an angry look on his face. |

Why is everyone so worried??? The splits were 65/50....shows very good closing speed. |

Wow. Maybe he should try running on pure hate. |

The splits were 65/50? If so, then that is not bad at all. |

If he was hurt he wouldn't be racing. So he is healthy and racing again. The guy has been out of it for a while. Good to have him back. Hopefully he runs some cross and another indoor race or three. Rock and Roll webby |

Even more impressive was that the 65 was done while eating a JBC and the 50 was done while eating a Baconator! |

Great video, thanks for sharing. Webb looks pretty stocky there. He looks much heavier than I remember. Almost like a weight lifter. |
| Too big,, |

I noticed how big he looked almost to rigid running, but that being said I can't go155. Good luck to webb |
