What will happen at some of these? Heard Milt in at UVA, is that a done deal? I know there are some really great coaches interested in that. Who is in at Penn? Will they promote from within? That seems like a great gig. A good, young coach could do something with Lamar as they have been up there for a while and just haven't pushed through to NCAA's yet. West Virginia job went to a Canadien kid. |

This won't be a highly sought after position, I'd imagine, but Canisius' coach just resigned and they are beginning a national search. The position is posted on their web site...but it's part-time and they are a cross country only program, albeit a relatively successful one. Also, Amherst College will be looking for a head women's cross country and track and field coach this spring, after going with an interim coach all year. Whoever lands there will have a lot of the resources (indoor facilities aside) to make that a consistently national-caliber program. The position should pay relatively well (at least for a coaching job). |

Speaking of Canisus, Bryan Fetzer to be Head Coach at UVA. Interesting hire. |

Any idea what is going on with the positions at Pitt? Saw they hired a throws coach but what about the distance job? Is it filled? Did they give it to the vol assistant? |

Penn State apparently hired former Iowa thrower Andy Banse for their throws opening. Andy's wife is also a softball coach at Penn State. |
