It's never too early to start a MIAC thread, so why don't we now begin our bold predictions for MIAC track? Bring your stupid, uninformed opinions, your prideful boasts, your Sathre hating comments (Tommies Suck), and/or (preferably) your impartial and unbiased predictions as to who will come out on top and who will be groveling in the dirt for this year's 2011-2012 track season. Does St. Thomas continue its complete and utter dominance in indoor or do they get supplanted by the up-and-coming Hamdogs? |

I can't really see St. Thomas giving up their indoor crown this season. Hamline had their chance last year and couldn't quite pull it off. Sathre will be tough to beat in the 5k, 3k, and DMR, which is where a good chunk of Hamline's points are. True, no Griswold will probably make an impact, but Hamline loses a couple key sprinters and throwers. |

Well Sathre is running well, hopefully he doesn't pull a Bill Gramatica during the final lap of either the 3k or the 5k at conference... Hutton also with some impressive times. Let's remember though that both of these guys got injured last year around the end of indoor. Hopefully for their sake history does not repeat itself. Nothing else to shout about, but it's early. |

What will Sathre run in the 5K? Anyone think he can go sub 14? Why is Monson running at meets in Florida? Anybody know why Deichert didn't race last weekend? |

Solo race or not, he got what he needed and is into conference now. Means he doesn't have to screw around trying to get in a race on a different weekend. Although if his plan called for a 5K this weekend it would have made more sense to go to Mankato on Saturday instead. |

Def. props for the time and all. It is funny to see one person in a race though. It would just be an awkward thing to watch. I am sure it has happened before. |

The oles will not score 43 points from middle distance mainly because they won't win a single middle distance event. 600- who? 800- their best guy is a 1:59 right now 1000- Saska has the best chance here of any ole winning an event but i see Shafer from Bethel winning it Mile- 4:19 is decent but with Sathre/Diechart/Campbell all running sub 4:16 last year at some point the mile will be very tough. DMR- this is a possibility if UST/ Hamline/probably Bethel don't stack theirs. |
