I feel for the 46,980 people non elites out at Fort Wadsworth - it is 40 degrees. Nothing gets you ready for a marathon like sitting outside for 3 hours in near-freezing temps!
Have you been to the New York Marathon? Where exactly did you find the room to warm up? I ran it in 2005 when the temps were the same as this year. I dressed in 10 layers and even had a blanket and STILL froze my ass sitting in that field for 3 hours. I'm looking forward to watching the elites this year, but I will never go back there (for the marathon, at least)
