As for 'how do you train seriously in the South' - well, good points - it can be done, but given the entire 48 states, would that be the best college choice for a guy who intends to be a professional athlete?
I tried to come up with some statistics to show the non-desirability of Florida for collegiate distance running - best I came up with is this:
Florida is 6.1% of the population but at NCAA XC this year, only 2.8% of the athletes came from Florida.Small sample, I know.
I don't know - do you think there is really any chance LV will go to a Florida school? Or would you even recommend it to the top prep distance runner in the country? really?
