I officially did last week in my Official "I'm sorry Alan" thread which was deleted. Seems we are not allowed to not be haters around here....sorry for the double negative.... |

sn: boingo first time i became of fan of the beatific vision of the webbster and pledged my allegiance: his 2007 rampage-fest at USATF's something nice: being an unrealistic webb fan, i myself was a little surprised at how well this comeback has gone. saladbar and webb make a really good team! i'm pumped for next year. PUUUUUUUUMPED! |

Do I have to be re-certified if I am still on the bandwagon from Webb's HS days? If so, count me in. |

Good thread OP. I'm definitely on the bandwagon but I don't want to give you my sn because you're a stranger. |

F that. I like to change my opinion of Webb as frequently as I do my underwear. The restrictions are too harsh. |

I see, ok we are required to either WORSHIP Mr. Webb or HATE Mr. Webb? Ah decisions, decisions.... Why not just support ALL the American runners of all ages, events and abilities? What's wrong with that? |

SN: joecrunner 2007 He is looking really good right now, I think he will be a contender during these next two years. |

i think he will come up just short of his quest to become america's top 1500/miler as andrew wheating was so impressive his first year as a pro after a long college season. i say webb will make the 2011 world champs and 2012 olympic teams, which is no small accomplishment manzano and lamong likely to improve, and with german fernandez with so much potential we could have 6-7 sub 3:32 for 1500 runners in 1 year. timewise his personal best's will be 1:43.4 for 800 3:29.9 for 1500 mile his personal best will stay the same as there are so few actual mile races being run. 7:29.5 for 3k 12:51 for 5k american record if lagat does not improve his personal best. |

Sign me up. He was chopping his stride in the last 10 meters because he ran out of room on the rail, or could have run faster. I think he'll be a force next 2 years. Ray Sharp |

(1) rooting for webb. Been using for a while, but just registered it to honor the comeback. (2) I guess I've never "pledged full support" before, so 9/9/2010. I'd be willing to pledge full support for all the Americans though. Webb, in the past, has seemed more in need of support on these boards though. (3) He seems happy, healthy, confident in himself and in his coach. With his talent, I think that's all he needs. |

1)LedShakespeare 2)in one sense 2006, when Webb showed up at a dual meet between my high school and his brother's. but really, 8/28/10 officially. 3)not a lot of runners get second chances, but i think he's going to make the best of it. new mile AR? maybe, i'm optimistic. |

What if yo pledge full support for Alan Webb's quest to become America's best 5,000 m runner? Is there a seperate bandwagon for that? |
| What Else |
| ||
|
(1) What Else (2) Indoor 2007. When I first started paying attention to Pro T&F and the first race I ever saw was a mile he ended up winning. (3) Alan, I knew it was only a matter of time. You've been the biggest inspiration for me personally with my own running. Let's keep our eye on the prize these next 2 years. |

1) kudzurunner. Posting at LR since 2004 I've never jumped on or off the bandwagon. I've merely intervened from time to time when Webb-bashers started waving tomahawks and jumping around the fire, frothing with delighted schadenfreude at his most recent sub-par result. I've usually preached moderation. I've noted that people of great promise sometimes take a long time to deliver. They have a habit of delivering not on your schedule, but on their schedule. I always found it hard to understand why sneers at Webb's performances needed to be intermingled with stupid sh-t about his hairline. Good for Webb. I wish him well. |
