I just saw a SUV today with a 13.1 sticker on the back window. That's the strangest sports-related vanity sticker I've ever seen. Who takes such pride in completing a half-marathon, besides that guy? |

Sometimes I don't get some of you Letsrun posters. MOST here would say it's not the fact that you can complete a race but that you do it QUICKLY. This is why ultra marathoners are demonized here (though, you CAN actually try to run an ultra QUICKLY if you want!). So, who says the guy is proud that he COMPLETED one. Maybe he ran it in 1:04 and is proud of that. Some people just have a race they gravitate towards. Seems fine to me to put that sticker on their car. |
