3:59.99 to become the first ever American father/son sub 4 duo! It's GREAT to finally see this guy break, and I'm sure it was a special moment as his dad was watching from above.

Congrats man!

Now it would have been AWESOME to see Darren Brown, Eric Stanley, AND Brian Sullivan all break 4 in the same race, considering they all came from the same district in high school and all went to Texas. I guess you could throw in Magness and Gabe Gonzalez as well as they went 4:01 and 4:11 in HS and were also in the same district.

Adam Davis was also in that race this weekend. He was a couple years ahead of Darren and Erik at Klein. He is in med school now, but still has hopes of dipping under 4. Was an All American at 800 and 1500 while at Rice.

as an old guy who always dreamed of breaking 4 minutes, but never did ("retired" in '96 with a best of 4.04), that clip made me choke up. kudos to that kid. great run. today is a day he will never forget. I dont think he did it. Too convenient that he runs 3:59.99 on his HOME track. Lets see the finish line tape. Just like all those oregon runners who ran b/w 3:59.5-3:59.9 HT. Just another school trying to help their own.
