King's result is impressive. He keeps improving. How does he train in Bend? That place snows like all get out. Looks like Sell had another great race. Was in noman's land, but I bet he went for the win. Any one who was there who would like to share what went down during the race? Any post-race commentary? |

I'm very closed friend of Martin Rodriguez-Flores, from Lerdo, Mexico. He just turned 40 on January 2nd. He was a 28'20" runner (Mexican runner in the XCWC in Cape City South Africa ('96?). He was injured for awhile, but he has been healthy and running 110 miles/week in the last year. I think he would run 1:05 later this year in Half Marathon. Keep an eye on him... |

Bend usually doesn't have a lot of snow in the city limits. It's a great place to live and train. A runner can get in some great workouts year round in Bend. |

Was anyone at the race that would like to share some information? |

Leslie was ahead of Sell for 7 miles according to my source. |

You are mistaken. I've skied Bachelor for over 25 years. Bend, at 4000ft doesn't get the snow that the mountains do. When they do get snow, the City of Bend is well-equipped to handle it. Additionally, because Bend normal winter daytime highs is over 40 degree, any snow remaining on the roads quickly melts. Bend's roads are generally dry year-round. |

how about sean wade. He rabbitted the marathon through 12 plus miles at 5:02 pace. He is 40 in 2 weeks. Look out masters. He can run 1:05 something right now. |

Not bad for Andrew Carlson in his 1/2 marathon debut! |

Does that make Max King the fastest Cornell alumn at 13.1? What has Pfitzinger run? |

SEAN WADE WILL BE A MASTERS GOD |

Absolutely true! In the city of Bend there isn't much snow (like Boulder, CO) and there are trails for miles and miles to run on. |

I think Jim McClathie coaches both sean wade and Max king. One runs in the snow and one runs in the furness |

Was Slinger Sanchez's coach based on Jim McLatchie? (This is a serious question.) |

Andrew Carlson has more potential than any other American in that race. Just wait two years. He has improved consistently ever since high school and nobody--and I don't say this lightly--works harder for it than Andrew. |

Regarding Andrew Carlson, I fully agree about his potential. Hopefully now that he is removed from the Plascencia-incredible-potential-destroying-machine, he will blossom. |
