McDonald's All You Can Eat Buffet 3/31/2004 11:09AM Reply | Return to Index | Report Post
This is a daily topic of conversation with my training partners. One of them even had a dream he went to a McDonald's with an all you can eat buffet.

So, does anyone know of a McDonald's that has an all you can eat buffet (we're not talking breakfast)?

If not, McDonald's should implement one at least on a irregular basis. Even if it was only once a year it would be a huge hit. And they would get tons of free publicity.

Hopefully, if a marketing guy at McDonadl's reads this he will give credit where it is due and at least give me and my training partners lifetime passes at the buffet.

Ouch, the thought of this makes me feel weird. Sometimes the food is good but sometimes you finish your meal and are like:

"Oh God what have I just done!?!"

hehe j/k the food is ok but I am interested in a subway or quizno's all you can eat :D ~!!

I can't believe you really like that shit that much. I mean who cares about the carbs and fat and what not, it's just terrible food. What's wrong with you?

Here's a new training theory. After a long run or a hard workout anything tastes good. If you don't find yourself craving McDonalds at some point you aren't going long enough or hard enough.

Man, with the class-action lawsuits being filed daily by various groups of obese people in the U.S. as it is, I cannot fathom the rapidity with which they would be filed if McDonalds were a buffet-style restaurant.

"Not only is their food fattening us, but they are trying to shove massive amounts of it down our throats in short periods of time." --my poor attempt at voicing the opinion of an obese person (sorry)

Oh well, I really do not like McDonalds' food that much anyway. In fact, my favorite menu item is the $1 fruit and yogurt parfait. I guess I am weird. I would much prefer to eat a $5 hamburger from a steakhouse than a $1 burger that has been sitting around for God knows how long under a heat lamp. Just my two cents...

McDonald's isn't the best fast food out there although I love the fries.

It's just more the concept - All you can eat McDonald's buffet, maybe just to put it in the face of the class action lawsuits.

What in the hell are you talking about. The only good thing about McDonalds is you know what you are getting; unfortunately, what you are getting is junk and familiar routine. If you're scared of new places, or you set your standards low enough, I guess anything of routine will taste good and not scare you. Look, the place is made for little kids. Little kids are stupid. It is marketing genius, but I will not let the little, bumb, hungry bastards of the backseat world victimize me.

I think the buffet is a good idea. They could offer a coupon for discounted angioplasty with every purchase.

Keep sucking down those transfat-laden french fries, you dumb jackass. It truly blows my mind that someone who considers himself an elite endurance athlete can put such shit in his body. Do some research and get your nutrition up to par. It's not that hard, and what extra expense there is, it's well worth it. You think the Kenyans and Moroccans are wolfing down transfatty foods? Think again.

Just keep telling yourself that a furnace will burn anything if it's hot enough, while that sludge accumulates on the inside of your arteries. Idiot. The pizzas slathered with mayo that Bill Rodgers used to eat are better for you than fast food fries.

WAKE UP WEJO!!

It isn't the food that is fatening people, but merely the fact that the people that are getting fat from it aren't excercising, and that is all they eat. I am a loyal Mc Donlads eater, and I am far from obese. Should I sue Mickey D's for not fattening me up?????? Anyways, I feel like the idea of a Mc donalds buffet wouold be awesome....all you can eat big macs.

I don't care how bad mcdonalds/fastfood is for you. Chicken McNuggets (w/honey) is the best food known to man. Their apple pies (2 for $1), might be a close second.

If this how elite American runners eat it's no wonder why the Africans are killing us. McDonald's is some shit-ass fuel for the tank.
