His 3:56.00 wasn't just a one-time, mid-training peaked deal. Nice to see Myers doing well competitively again too. |

why is a 3:40 boring and a 3:57 mile is considered legit? |

Yawn...?? 3:40 is the TRACK RECORD you turd. Was this your first Track & Field viewing? |
| haha, YO |

Haha, someone said something bad about Myers and Dauby jumps all over it. 3:40 is pretty good, the most important thing is that he won. Hell, the 3k was over 8 last night, these races are not about time. |

It's called championship racing, kid. |

Haha?? Was it really that funny to you?? Let me guess...you're "lol-ing" all over the place. Cheeseball. |

Watch out for Myers at the trials. |

3:40 is the fake track record. I know there has at the very least been a 353 mile run at Reggie. |

Was he rabitting the 1500 so they could get the qualifier. He stepped off the track and almost caused a huge pileup. |

If Lagat and Webb are for sures, I think you have to put Manzano and Myers next in line for that 3rd spot. Not slighting Lamong, Brown, or Lukezic, but they're going to be chasing the A standard this Spring and that can take a toll. |

I think it's safe to say that Webb, Lagat, and Manzano can lock up the top 3 places, but I also think this will be one of the most competitive mens 1500m fields in a long time, because the following athletes also have a decent chance at vying for that 3rd place: Myers Sherer Lukezic Rankin Lomong Ahmed Brown Andrew McClary Torrence Does anyone have any idea if Christian Smith is still running? He ran for K-State and set either the indoor or outdoor collegiate 1000m record, which is 2:19.xx I believe. |

they went out in 57, 1:59, 2:59 and then leader of the first three laps dropped out at 1200, more or less like a rabbit. I don't think it fits your definition of "championship racing". |

Nice Race Grant Playmakers Racing is the team name he runs for. It's names comes from a shoe store in Lansing/okemos Michigan. Brand new club team with some pretty good runners trying to make it after college. |

I know who would have won if it was a kicker's race...but it's a secret :) |

Is anyone surprised Myers won this race? He is the class of that field. For one thing he has run a 3:53 mile and a 3:34 1500. At the trials he will be going into the race with the A standard and won't have to trek to Europe in a desperate attempt to get the standard. It is a toss up between Manzono and Myers for the third spot. Myers has not been that consistent in the last few years, but Manzano bombed at the World Championships last year. Myers PR s in both the mile and 1500 are superior to Manzano. However, as we have seem for countless years the fastest guys don't always make the team. I think we all remember Falcon, Holman, and even Spivey being beaten by slowers runners at the trials. It really is roll of the dice sometimes. We may even see a unheralded runner make the team. These runners like Jeff Atkinson seem to come out of nowhere. |

Why in the world would you say it's safe to say that Manzano will be in the Top 3?? His PR's are decent (3:58/3:35/1:49)--but no where near a time that separates his from ANYONE--especially those who have much deeper international & championship experience--hell, not to mention BETTER times. Pretty funny that the list that you compile features the first 3 guys with better PRs--two of which who are also National Champions. At the Trials/Championships--NO ONE is a safe bet. Look at a couple years ago when Gabe nearly pulled off the upset of Lagat. A couple years prior to and nearly every race after he's done pretty much nothing. |
