World 400H champ Warholm won the 400m, equaling the European record of 45.05. Poland also had a solid day as they got wins from Pawel Wojciechowski in the PV (5.90m) and Ewa Swoboda in the 60m (7.09). Slovakia's Jan Volko got the men's 60m win in 6.61 as GB's two-time defending champ Richard Kilty only managed 4th. Switzerland's Lea Sprunger won 400m gold in a world-leading 51.61 and Italy's Gianmarco Tamberi got HJ gold with 2.32m.
Murphy, who ran 4:07 for 1500 at age 16, is technically retired at the University of Oregon but she hasn't entirely given up on the dream.
