Now There Are Allegations Involving Needles

– Excerpts from an explosive new article on the Alberto Salazar / Galen Rupp doping allegations by Matt Lawton in The Daily Mail. Both John Stiner and Steve Magness now say Salazar had unlabeled or hand-labeled refrigerated vials in the Salazar / Rupp training camp. The allegations are supported by two Nike athletes. The excerpts come from article #1. A 2nd article by Lawton on Salazar and the NOP is here.

More Things For Alberto/ Nike To Explain

Needles, Fed Exing Unmarked Vials, And Vials That Had To Be Refrigerated Massage therapist John Stiner says he found bags of needles in a Nike Oregon Project apartment and was told by Alberto Salazar to refrigerate and keep cold vials in the fridge labelled “Asthma 1” and “Asthma 2” and FedEx them to him. Former NOP coach Steve Magness reportedly has emails showing he was supposed to FedEx to Galen Rupp an unmarked vial that he claimed was his allergy serum. A special improperly labelled allergy concoction is a possible explanation but there are more questions to answer.

Portland Track Festival – A Few Fast Races And Some NOP Members Face The Media

Day 2 LRC Evan Jager Runs The Fastest 1,500 By An American-Born Athlete On American Soil With A Huge 3:32.97 PR Evan Jager surprised even himself with a 3:32.97 clocking at the Portland Track Festival as Garrett Heath helped make the race. In other action, Shannon Rowbury nearly ran an 800 PR and then doubled back in the 1,500 just 12 minutes later, Cam Levins got the standard in the 5,000 as Chris Derrick struggled, and Andy Bayer got the standard in the steeple.

I would rather quit the sport than do that.” Rowbury did a ridiculous double that included nearly an 800 PR, but the media members, even some from the UK, weren’t interested in talking to her about that.

LRC Chris Derrick Talks About The Galen Rupp And Alberto Salazar Doping Allegations – “I’m glad that Steve and Kara and Mr. Stiner came forward.” Derrick hopes that there is a good explanation for everything but says it’s good that people came forward with their concerns as the only way we’ll have a clean sport is if people aren’t afraid to speak up when they are concerned.

A Look At What WADA Sanctions Alberto Salazar Would Be Facing If The ProPublica / BBC Allegations Are Found To Be True

AndrogelCorrection – LRCAlberto Salazar Potentially Faces Lifetime Ban From Sport If Allegations In BBC / ProPublica Investigation Are Found To Be True WADA Has A 10 Year Statute Of Limitations So Alberto Salazar And Galen Rupp Would Face No WADA Ban If They Doped When Rupp Was In High School We reached out to WADA to seek clarifications on what type of punishment Alberto Salazar would face if the allegations are found to be true by USADA. The results are interesting. Salazar can’t be banned by WADA for giving Kara Goucher a prescription drug she didn’t have a prescription for; he could be potentially banned for “a minimum of two years” and “up to four years” for coaching Galen Rupp on how to get an IV drip; and he would get off scot free if he doped Rupp with testosterone in high school due to WADA’s 10-year statute of limitations.
