According to the AP, Moroccan marathon runner Abderrahime Bouramdane, the 2008 Boston Marathon runner-up, has been banned for two years for doping due to irregularities in his biological passport. In addition to his 2nd place showing in Boston, the 37-year-old Bouramdane, who has a 2:07:33 marathon PR, has finished in the top five four other times at a major as he was 5th in New York in 2008 and 2009 and 4th in London in 2010 and 4th at Worlds in 2011. Bouramdane is being stripped of all race results since April 14, 2011 so he no longer is considered to be the 4th placer at 2011 Worlds.
