The big news at this meet was Usain Bolt running 10.04 in the 100m. Running in 65 degree weather Bolt got off to a horrible start. Running into a slight headwind, Bolt eventually got up to speed and overtook the field including World Championship bronze medallist Kim Collins.
It's was Bolt's first over 10 second clocking since a 10.00 in the rain in Toronto in 2009.
The times were slow across the board for some of the sport's biggest stars. Wallace Spearmon ran 20.14 in the 200m, Sanya Richards Ross ran 50.65 (50.11 earlier this yera) in the 400, and LaShawn Merritt ran 45.13 (44.19 earlier this year), although Veronica Campbell Brown did run 20.38 into a headwind.
Pamela Jelimo dominated the 800m matchup with Caster Semenya. Jelimo was way in front of the field for most of the race. Semenya was near the back for most of the race before moving up for second.
Lolo Jones fizzled in her outdoor debut.
