In reaction to that, we thought it would be useful to produce a medal count of the mid-d and distance medals earned at the 2012 Olympics to compare Kenya to the other countries.
Kenya, with a population of just 41 million, won by a wide margin. In fact, they nearly doubled second placed Ethiopia.
