Top Results of the BUPA Great Manchester Run where 39 year old Haile Gebrselassie turned back the clock and won in 27:39 over world record holder in the marathon Patrick Makau, #1 on the Ethiopian Olympic marathon team, Ayele Abshero, and World and Olympics medallist Tsegay Kebede.
The win got Gebrselassie thinking of running the 10,000m at the Olympics. Next week is the 10,000m in Hengelo which is serving as the Ethiopian Olympic Trials. Gebrselassie in interviews after the race indicated that the top 3 in the race will be on the team.
