LetsRun.com 2011 NCAA Cross Country Fan Polls: Wisconsin More Dominant #1, Florida State Stays on Top
By LetsRun.com November 11, 2011
The LetsRun.com's NCAA Fan polls are out in advance of this weekend's regional action.
On the men's side Wisconsin after its dominant performance at the Big 10 meet, moved further in front of two time defending champion Oklahoma State.Colorado after its win at the Pac 12 meet moved up to to #3 ahead of Stanford.
On the women's side, Florida State after dominating the ACC meet stayed in front ahead of Villanova. (To be honest we think Villanova closed the gap from the last poll because after a login snafu we discovered yesterday we offered to randomly give 10 LetsRun.com t-shirts to voters to encourage voting and some non regular voters voted and they are way more likely to vote the tradition rich Villanova program). After their huge upset win at the Pac 12 meet, the Colorado women jumped more than the CU men, going from #10 to #3.
In the regional action, the West region women's meet should be the best with 4 teams in the top 10 squaring off.
