November 18, 2010
The 2010 NCAA cross-country championships will be held on Monday in Terre Haute, Indiana. The excitement is building as hundreds of people have already entered our $200,010 NCAA Prediction contest.
In the coaches' rankings, only one point separates the #1 Stanford men from the #2 Oklahoma State men and Oklahoma State actually has more first place votes than Stanford. Not so with LetsRun.com visitors. So far LetsRun.com visitors are big believers in the Stanford men in the team battle with Oklahoma State on the men's side, as they are voting Stanford #1 by a factor of more than 2.3 over Oklahoma State.
In terms of the individual race, defending champ Sam Chelanga has received more than 28 times as many first place votes as anyone else. Chris Derrick is the 2nd choice currently in the prediction contest.
For the women, Villanova and Jordan Hasay are the favorites of the LRC faithful, with Oregon and Sheila Reid as the #2 choices.
