Lehmkuhle and Vega to Run Crescent City Classic 10k in New Orleans April 3

Minnesota's Jason Lehmkuhle and Antonio Vega
will be among the elite field at the 32nd Crescent City Classic 10k in
New Orleans on April 3. The Easter weekend tradition has over 7,000
participants along with a reputation for a flat and fast 6.2-mile course.
The race starts in the French Quarter at 8:30 a.m. and finishes in City
Park.
Both Lehmkuhle and Vega are using the race as a final
tune-up before they compete in the Boston Marathon on April 19. Lehmkuhle
has a road best in the 10k of 28:54 and Vega's personal best on the roads is
29:05, with both times being set at the Peachtree 10k in Atlanta.
So far this year, Lehmkuhle has won the Mercedes Half
Marathon in Birmingham on Feb. 14, and was fourth at the USA 15k Championships
in Jacksonville on March 13. In 2010, Vega won the USA Half Marathon
Championships in Houston on Jan. 17, placed eighth at the USA Cross Country
Championships in the men's 12k in Spokane on Feb. 13, and finished third at the
USA 15k Championships in March.
Lehmkuhle has been a member of Team USA Minnesota since
2001 and Vega joined the training center in 2007.
