Elite Field for Mini 10k Announced

NEW YORK (06-Jun) -- The New York Road Runners released the elite field for the NYRR New York Women's Mini 10-K, the original and oldest all-women's road race in the world.

For the 36th edition of the event on Saturday, six Olympians, two world champions, and the reigning champions of two World Marathon Majors will toe the starting line.  The elite field of 29 women boasts four who have broken 31 minutes for 10,000m on the track and another five who have run sub-32 minutes.

Nine women from Japan will be competing from the Second Wind and Noritz teams, the largest turnout of elite Japanese athletes ever at an invitational USA road race.
