Live LetsRun.com Audio Coverage of 2007 USATF Nationals
Follow the Action on Your Computer or Via Your Phone 8-10pm Tonight
by LetsRun.com
June 21, 2007

USATF notified us 2 days ago that they are allowing for the first time anyone to broadcast video/audio LIVE (or on delay) of any the races that they do not anticipate being on tv on the internet. We commend USATF for making this decision as it allows hardcore fans to follow the events that will not be on tv this year (basically the junior meet, prelims, and the men's and women's 10ks) until it finalizes internet rights for its events in the future.

So while it was not feasible for us to set up a live video stream of the meet on short notice, setting up a live audio one was possible. We've been thinking of doing a LetsRun.com radio show for a while so now you're going to hear us for the first time tonight LIVE as we give you the live play by play.

We had dinner with Chasing Kimbia's Matt Taylor last night and told him about our idea and he was excited as we are and agreed to join us on our broadcast. We'll try and get some other people to stop by.

Thanks to talkshoe.com (our streaming partner) you can follow the epic 10,000m races via your computer's audio or by calling in with a phone.

How it works is pretty simple. If you want to just listen live via your computer, just click here and follow the action from 8-10pm (our pre race coverage starts at 8 pm eastern with the men's 10k starting at 8:20 pm). The simplest way will be to just hit "Listen Now" on the next page (it will only be there once we have started the broadcast) and you will be able to hear the stream (you do not need to download anything or sign up on talkshoe.

If you want to call in to follow the action on your phone (or actually talk to us on the live radio broadcast) you need to set up a talkshoe.com account. You then will have the option of calling in to follow the action, or listening on your computer. If you want to call in and have a talkshoe account, you will dial, (724) 444-7444 and enter event code 37987. More details here. If you download the talkshoe software the first 250 people will be able to ask questions via chat.

Meanwhile, don't forget to participate in our $250,000 Prediction Contest.
