RECOVERY RUN FOR
OUR GIRL Amber Galvan is the
oldest of four children. On February 4, 2007, after returning from a
run in the Valley the Galvan family was in a horrible car accident involving
an 18 wheeler truck. All of the family members were injured. Since then,
all have been released with no life threatening injuries, except for
Amber. Amber remains in a coma at the Methodist Childrens Hospital
in San Antonio Texas. This family is amazing. They have done so
much for our community. Both Liza and Ariel have been excellent role
models for many athletes here in San Antonio and around the world. At
this time, both parents remain at Ambers bed side. Liza is a 7th
grade science teacher and an Olympic marathon runner. Ariel is also
an avid runner, winning many titles as well. Amber is a sweet 11yr old,
who also loves running like her parents. WHEN: MARCH 4, 2007 at 7:30 A.M.
